SPEED COUNT — TRAINING GUIDE

Goal: Make card values automatic — you answer instantly, even under speed.

Why this module matters

Counting fails when you hesitate. Speed Count turns the card→value step into reflex so your brain stays free for the real job: tracking the running count and staying calm at a table.

Level 1 Systems (Beginner)

Hi-Lo — The classic, most popular system

+1 2–6   0 7–9   -1 10–A

KO (Knock-Out) — Unbalanced, no true count needed!

+1 2–7   0 8–9   -1 10–A

Red 7 — Unbalanced with color twist

+1 2–6, red 7s   0 black 7s, 8–9   -1 10–A

Hi-Opt I — Aces neutral, good for side-counting

+1 3–6   0 2, 7–9, A   -1 10–K

Level 2 Systems (Advanced)

Omega II — High accuracy, harder to use

+2 4–6   +1 2,3,7   0 8,A   -1 9   -2 10–K

Zen Count — Best all-around Level-2

+2 4–6   +1 2,3,7   0 8,9   -1 A   -2 10–K

Hi-Opt II — Maximum insurance correlation

+2 4,5   +1 2,3,6,7   0 8,9,A   -2 10–K

Level 3 Systems (Expert)

Wong Halves — Most accurate, uses fractions

+1½ 5   +1 3,4,6   2,7   0 8   9   -1 10–A

Pro tip: Double all values to avoid fractions in your head.

How to use this to increase skill

  • Start in Manual until you can hit 30 correct in a row without thinking.
  • Move to Slow. Your target is “no panic.” If you blank, drop back.
  • Use Fast to simulate real table tempo.
  • Use Blitz only when Fast feels easy — it trains recovery after mistakes.

Vegas / Macau shoe standard

This drill deals from an 8-deck shoe. When the shoe gets low, it reshuffles automatically.

Key definitions

  • Shoe: multiple decks combined (commonly 8 decks in major casinos).
  • Running Count: the total that changes as cards appear.
  • True Count: running count adjusted for decks remaining (used for bet decisions).

Earnings + progression

Correct answers earn BJ XP (shown on the Hub only). Your Title is shown here. Every 10 correct in a row pays BJ Bank based on mode.
